Last week I contacted the TCF Bank Stadium events office regarding availability of space for the drive. I exchanged a bunch of emails with Megan, the Special Events Sales Coordinator. I gave Megan an idea of what kind of space I was looking for and she recommended that I come in and actually look at the space. So this past Saturday, I met Megan at the Stadium and she showed me the room she thought would work well for the event. In my opinion, she hit a homerun! The room she recommended is the Indoor Club Room. This is a beautiful and spacious room with the most amazing view! The space overlooks the entire football field to the north and views of campus surroundings to the south. The view of the field is one to be seen - absolutely amazing (I'll post a picture soon!). I could have sat there for hours.
While I would have loved to sign on the dotted line right then and there, we need to first find a date. August 13 may work, but as of right now, there is a hold on the space for that day. Megan said she will let me know as soon as possible if the space will be available. If not, we will go to the calendar and see if we can use another date. I will update the blog as soon as I know anything! Next step - finding someone willing to pay/help pay for the venue...
SHAMELESS PLUG - if you are looking for a venue for your wedding, bar mitzvah, holiday party, etc., seriously consider TCF Bank Stadium. While there on Saturday, Megan also showed me the DQ Club Room and I can tell you that if I was planning my wedding this year, there is a good chance, I would have chosen TCF Bank Stadium as the venue.
